Professional Experience

Aníbal is a partner at SB&Co. Legal and leads the Capital Markets, Banking & Finance, Project Finance, and Regulatory Law practice areas, advising financial institutions, issuers, institutional investors, and local and international business groups on the structuring of transactions and corporate operations in Panama and other jurisdictions.

With over a decade of experience, he has developed a solid practice in corporate finance, capital markets, and investment projects, participating in transactions including debt issuances, guarantee structuring, corporate reorganizations, mergers and acquisitions, and infrastructure and energy financing.

In the corporate arena, Aníbal advises domestic and foreign companies on the incorporation, administration, and reorganization of Panamanian companies, as well as the implementation of fiduciary structures and complex — and sometimes transnational — corporate investment vehicles. His knowledge of Panamanian regulations and his ability to integrate financial and regulatory aspects make him a strategic advisor for investors and business groups operating from Panama as a regional platform.

He also regularly advises clients on regulatory compliance processes before financial regulators, preparation of issuance prospectuses, financing and trust agreements, as well as the negotiation of syndicated financings and public or private securities offerings.

His practice is distinguished by a technical, strategic, and results-oriented approach, combining legal judgment, business vision, and understanding of the regulatory environment, consolidating his reputation as a trusted attorney in the financial, corporate, and capital markets sector in Panama and the region.
